It official we have started our journey into the world of IVF! We met with Dr Shapiro today and his wonderful staff. Dr Shapiro made us feel that a family is not only possible but just a matter of when. We were given ALOT OF INFORMATION ! But step one is Diagnostic Testing. We are going to try and get as much as we can done here in town in hopes that we might get something picked up by insurance. After testing is complete, we are hoping we can start our first cycle in March. The cycle consists of 12 days of hormone injections, followed with hopefully egg retrieval and a semen aspiration. If everything goes well with both procedures we could possibly be finding out by the end of March whether or not we are pregnant :)
The donations we have received have been a huge blessing and are continuing to help with the cost but unfortunately IVF is a pricey procedure. We are going to stay positive and optimistic, if anyone would like to help with a small donation, your help would be greatly appreciated. We are excited and hopeful for what the future may bring for us.
